Please stop with the deceiving titles.

Can we please stop giving threads over-hyped titles promising something amazing, then actually posting a mediocre animation or even one with no effort and saying 'just kidding' below?

It's lying, a waste of our time, and only makes your animation look worse due to it not meeting the standards you set with the title.

I've often tried to do the opposite, such as in my most recent thread update, the original title was going to be Failed Liquidsword Tribute [Joint with Nice Pants], but that sounded too cool so I added the word "Short" in front of it lul.

I also try not to post screenshots that look cool, since they too will raise expectations.

I agree . It's very disappointing to see a topic with an amazing title, then it turns out to be nothing but nonsense. I find it kinda sad to use awesome titles to cover up lame , boring and effortless stuff .

very nice topic , you've raised a very solid point .

Why? People have the right to name their topic or whatever anything they want to. I really don't see a point in making a thread over such a minor complaint that someone most likely doesn't care about anyways.

    I don't see how it's a problem either.

I think it's clever, actually. I see no problem at all. It's just a mouse click too much for some, I guess.

Feel free to discuss it though.

It's only false advertisement with no major consequences or side effects; if major companies & corporations could get away with it for most of their products, they would. Besides, would you even consider watching an animation called 'combo short'?
