    Animating Non-Detailed Sticks with BGs

First Tut. So, yea, if you don't like it, sue me.

Foreward: This requires patience, not a ton, but it will maybe add and extra minute or two per frame, depending on how many sticks you have.

First off, assuming you go your BG ready, get your stick. I'll be using Bolts "Stk" from his pack. Load it in, and click "Edit". The stick should pop up in the Stick figure Builder, like so.

Now, heres why the stick needs top have little or no detail at all. You have to delete the head, and make all of the joints 0 pixels thick. If theres alot of detail on the sticks legs, arms, or spine, it will make the job harder. The end result (using Bolt's "Stk"), should be like this.

K, load it in. Now, set the NORMAL stick up for whatever action your wish. I chose a running loop, so, here we go. My first frame was simple, I just matched the marker to the normal stick, like so.

The Red Dots are the markers, now, go on to your next frame, but do not move your markers. Just move the normal stick, using the marker as your onion skin. Makes it pretty simple. Heres an example.

Now, click next frame. This time, move your marker first, to match the normal stick, then move your normal stick once the marker has matched, like so.

And, you continue to do that, and I got great running with a full BG, heres the final example.

    Hope you like it!

    First post in your thread!

nice. thats a great method. i have read something very similar in the masters list, but it was just putting a "nothing" dot on one foot for walking. Maybe yours will make the masters list, since you can do anything with it.
