    Roll Tutorial

Ok. I felt like i wanted to make a tutorial, and Sizzle agreed. I started to make rolls...and they seem popular. Look here if you want to learn them.

    PIV

Frame 1: Start of in a crouching stance, with the hand up in the back.

Frame 2: Move the back and the front leg a bit to the right, raise the hands a bit..and make the bottom leg unbend a bit.

Frame 3: Make step 2 but with a bigger movement and raise the hands more, near the head.

Frame 4: Make a big movement, leave the front leg bend, raise the hands to the head, and then make the bottom leg bend again.

Frame 5: Put the leg in a straight stance, the bottom leg should be bend in the air, the hands must be on the ground, and the head must not be on the ground yet.

Frame 6: Put the head on the ground, on the hands, and put both legs in the air, bended.

Frame 7: Move the head a bit to the right, make only the "fingers" touch the ground, and move the legs, bended of course, to the right in the air.

Frame 8: Raise the head, "push" the ground with the hands, and make the front leg touch the ground, not straight, and leave the other one bended, in the air.

Frame 9: Raise the hands at the maximum, still touching the ground, and make the front leg raise up, still on the ground. Leave the other leg in the air.

Frames 10 - 13: Make the stick go from stance "10" to stance "13"

Frames 13 - 16: Easy 'till you get on stance "16".

Once again He has done it. Very cool tutorial. We haven't had a rolling tut before. Inspires me to animate, with a default <=0! Thanks mate!

The roll is really great, well explained.

You could also write examples how not to roll so far though.. and maybe some examples to do it slower/more realistic. As i said on MSN, have a more international style.

Don't get me wrong, your tutorial is great, good job, it WILL help people.

Heh, I like the first roll better. The first one just looks nicer and cartoony. But you used Mr.D.Fault , and he has no back joint. I bet it would look better and be easier to learn from if he had a back joints.Still it's a very good tutorial, nicely explained and simple to understand. 8/10, you could have added more roll types into the tutorial and explain them too.
