    Falling tutorial(with bounce) 56KB warning

Okay, I made an animation a while ago of a simple punch, I was amazed at the physics and the reality of the fall and bounce, To this day its my best fall animation. Sadly i made it in pivot 3, because thats the version i like most, anyways So heres how the animation goes.
    PIV
First we have both participants in there ready positions. The left is making a punch towards the right throat.

    http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v650/ ... ngel/1.jpg

    Closer

And we have contact!, there first thing you do is bend the back and distance the upper body so the attackers hand isn't going through its target, Its just pushing the body, I know this is pretty far spacing for some but it works, Have the hands start flying up aswell.

    http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v650/ ... ngel/3.jpg

Now the hand separates from its target and the victim keeps going from the momentum, the hands separate just a little. The back is still bending at about the same degree just a bit further.

    http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v650/ ... ngel/4.jpg

Okay, Now switch the bending inward of the spine and bend it outward just a little. The hands keep coming upwards and are bending at the elbows more.

    http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v650/ ... ngel/5.jpg

The hands keep coming up getting closer together, The front leg is floating up from gravity of falling, and his back is bending outward more and more.

    http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v650/ ... ngel/6.jpg

Keep going, bend the back more, hands closer and floating up more, Raise that leg.

    http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v650/ ... ngel/7.jpg

The back is slowly straightening and the hands have almost reached the head, start lowering the leg back down.

    http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v650/ ... ngel/8.jpg

BOOM! Make the body straight, except for the arms. One must have reached the ground and the other just about to. Have the leg that was falling be inclined a little from the other.

    http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v650/ ... ngel/9.jpg

Raise the upper body a little from the ground and bring the hands closer together. The feet should be aligned now.

    http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v650/ ... gel/10.jpg

Bend the back more and lift the upper body off of the ground even more, The hands should be aligned or close to it.

    http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v650/ ... gel/11.jpg

The body should be almost straight again, bring the hands even closer.

    http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v650/ ... gel/12.jpg

Final: Completely straight, Everything aligned with the other limb, nice and clean

    http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v650/ ... gel/13.jpg

Well if thats not good add a few more frames of him sliding at the end and it should be ace.
    Fine result:

If I missed anything tell me, HAHA plugs up soon.

It's good but I think that the bounce could be made better with just a tiny tweak.
    Like this.

His stomach doesn't bounce up quite so much. And I think that that makes a difference.
    Piv if you want. http://www.filecram.com/files/punch%20t ... ddited.piv

But still a good tut especially since there isn't another one like this.

This is a really good tut. Now I can do everything in pivot . Falling is hard but this shows that it can be done well. Kudos to you, master list-yes (IMO)

the wieght of his body should keep the head on the floor , and the arms dont seem like they make enough of a connection with teh floor : O
    apart from that good job.

EDIT : INFACT the second arm doesnt touch the floor =/
it should be like : soon.
edit2: you should warn poeple its a piv 3 piv =/

    Pretty Good! A bit unrealistic,
such as he's very floppy, and he wouldn't just stand there and take the punch.
anyway, A nice tut. ( a killer to load on my internet ) Good Job!

-_- guys. This was a tutorial for falling, I care not about any part of the rest of the animation, not how to react before a punch of how to punch, falling!
