    Nathaniscool's trail tut

Trails.... One of pivot's coolest things and can make any animation look great

    Example one
    BAD

Looks pretty bad and choppy in my opinion

    But edit it with trails

Frame-1 The stick is straight and not moving
Frame-2 Same thing as frame 1
Frame-3 The sitck moves about 4 or 3 pixcels to the right
Frame-4 The stick moves about 5 pixcels to the right
Frame-5 The stic moves about 12 pixcels to the right the trail first appears but it's size is only 50
Frame-6 The stick moves 10 pixcels to the right and the trail is at size 70
Frame-7 The stick is almost upsidedown and is moved about 18 pixcels and the trail is at 100
Frame-8 The stick is upsidedown and the trail is the same size but remember the trail is flowing with the stick
Frame-9 The stick is going back rightsideup the trail the same size
Frame-10 The stick is just past side ways and the trail is the same size
Frame-11 The stick is almost straight again and the trail is at 68
Frame-12 The stick is about 6 frames away from straight and the trail is at 40
Frame-13 The stick is almost straight and the trail is at 10
From frame 14 to 20 the stick is using easing to get back straight not that hard

    The piv file

The example is very similar to Baha's trail tut, but it's done well and properly. Next time in the future though Nathan, try for something that hasn't been done. A level of creativity and something that people need, is a good approach on a tutorial.

The tutorial isn't very creative, but you did a DAMN GOOD JOB on it. I would benefit from it.

Good work. I would reccomend a picture for each frame though. And there would be trails on the other end of the stick too.

The end is eased out all funny it makes it look choppy..At the end it has like a 6 frame ease of the same thing..its hard to explain but its wrong lol

Nice trail but I think theres already tuts on this kind.

    and yes trail both ends?

But its good for a first tut!

    great job on the effort

And i was bored so i made you this (its your piv just edited ((edited=eased different added traile to match onion skin and added second trail))hope you like)

Yeah, it a good tutorial, it might help the beginners and people, it's pretty nicely made. I think that it could have used more pictures though, but I guess that it's alright like that.
