    Trail Movements

wise words i recieved from wereZ is, try and keep the last joint in the onion skin, kinda hard to describe. hopefully these pictures down below will help describe it. you can then incorporate the trail movement into running, walking, fighting etc.
    (few frames to show)

try it, it should help some time...

a good example of the trail movements is Buzz from DD...

A further example i used in this tutorial is easing, this is simply moving a limb/object pixel by pixel slowly increasing to make it look smoother.

    EASING
This is used to make animations smoother.
to do so, move the limb, word, object etc, pixel by pixel slowly increasing.

now i won't use the stupid representation of |-|-|--|----|------|----|--|-|-|

as i find, many people don't understand it, but hopefully this example will.

(not provided by me, original owner not known, i'll take a ruff guess that it's baha's. no credit is taken that i made it, simply an example)

for a good ease, i recommend you move the .stk 1pixel, 1pixel, then 2 pixels,2pixels, 4 pixels, 6pixels, 4pixels, 2pixels, 2pixels, 1pixel and then 1pixel again. this should give a good ease. as you practice, your can make your own judgment of how many to move by.

there's also an ease called heavy spacing. this gives a sharp look to animating. helps when you want to show someone running at a high pace or in fats movement. the two eases can be used together, for example, you'd show the .stk moving into a slow ease,t hen as it picks up pace, heavy pace.
heavy spacing can be achieved by moving more pixels than less.

move it by 1pixel, 1pixel, 3pixels, 6pixels, 10pixels, 16 pixels, 8pixels, 4pixels, 2pixels, 1pixel, 1pixel. again as you get used to making the heavy space, you can make your own judgment.

heavy spacing can be used to make a good jerky movement for text.
    as shown here..

not a great example of mine, but shows the essence of it.

hopefully this helps to anyone who is having difficulties...

(Note: just remembered, you can't tag a .bmp file, sorry, will upload .jpeg images as soon as possible.

That was a big bump. Make sure to read when the last post was made before you post a comment.
