Simple fade "trick" (without changing color)

Ok first off you need a special stick.
I first made this(or something kinda like it) working on bells of war to use as transparency. But Its also useful for fades, espeially if you have lots of stks on screen at the time.

    MORE SIZES[/center:u4m3oy6i]
    It basicly looks like this.

Youll want to change its color to the color you want to fade into, in this case ill do white. And ill add a simple test background for some color. This will be a two frame fade, cause thats all thats really needed, you could always keep adding fadelayers, at diagnal angles, to suite the fade length desired.

Frame one - just the regular background

Frame two - first layer of the fade added

Frame three - Here you just add a fade layer, but make the stk go horizontally across the canvas.

Last frame - just make this the solid color of what your fade color is, in this case it would be white.

Ok now heres the cool part, in pivot when you save the animation and size it down by half, or whatever your wish to, the colors blend. So its a seamless fade, not liney looking.

    Final product

Ahh, smart idea. I'll have to try it out.
To anyone that couldn't tell, you could also keep the line stk black and fade to black instead of white as well.

Thats ingenious. Thats way easier than editing every color, plus you can fade to any color.

I dont quite understand... how do you make it to where all the lines dont show when you play it?

As long as you shrink it by 1/2, 1/4, etc. when you save it, the pixels where you can and can't see the stick should blend together. It's all in how the .gif saves; it probably wouldn't work with 1/3 shrinkage. Maybe not, dunno.
