    limp's ultimate tut!

OK, this is a tut. that I'm doing for some friends, but I thought the world might want it too so woo hoo!!!!!!!!!

    CONTENTS:
    PART 1:MOVEMENTS
    1)walking
    2)running
    3)punching
    PART2: EFFECTS
    1)flashing

    PART 1: MOVEMENTS:

Alright, here we are at part 1
    let's start shall we?
ok, first of all download this stick.

    http://uploadhut.com/view.php/480069.stk

alrighty, now let us REALLY start!

    PART 1: SECTION 1:WALKING

    step 1)

Ok, first of all, you're ganna wanna get your little guy in this position:

    step 2)

now, slowly grab the orange pivot pointand slitghty move him overto the left, you're going to want to keep his left leg in the same place without bending it, while slightly bending the right leg and moving it inwards. also move those arms in a smidge!

    step 3)

basically just keep doing the same as step 2. move the arms in slightly while keeping the left leg in the same place, yet moving the right leg a smidge.

    step 4)

the arms should be coming out a little bit now, and the left leg should be crossed the right leg.

    step 5)

now the left leg should almost be done moving and almost touching the floor.

    step 6)

the first step should be done, and your stick should look like it did when it first started.

    finished copy)

this is what it should look like when it is done.

Congrats!!!! You just made someone walk!!!!

    PART 1: SECTION 2: RUNNING

whew, now that that's done, it's time for some running!!!! Running is almost the same as walking except theres a frame where the stick isn't on the ground. you'll see!

    step 1)

firstly, get your guy into this position:

    step 2)

ok, since running is alot faster then walking, you have to make bigger movements. so start out by moving his right leg in, and just leave his left leg on the grey shadow.

    step 3)

straight'n out his back leg and make his other knee go high in the air, like ya just don't care.

    step 4)

OK, now he should be in the air, this is the part where the whole running effect takes place. If you don't have your stick in the air, it looks like he is just walking really fast and retardedly.

    step 5)

Now bend the front leg out a little. Also, don't forget about that other leg back there, move it upwards a bit.

    step 6)

Now the front leg should amost be all the way straight, and the back leg should bend a little bit. Also, make sure your stick is going lower towards the ground, so he isn't suspended in air.

    step 7)

Now you're just back where you started. repeat as many times as needed

    finished copy)

ok here's what your finished copy should look like, well not the end, just the first and second step. Also notice the suspension, he isn't just staying in the air.

well, we've walked the walk and ran the run so far, but can you punch the punch?

    PART 1: SECTION 3: PUNCHING

Punching is probabbly the easiest thing for me to do, and with my steps anything is possible......right?

    step 1)

OK, get it in this possition firstly.

    step 2-7)

basically, all you want to do is creep the arm up the sticks back, the arm should go from this

    to this

    step 8)

Now the actual punch starts. Right now, all you need to do is take the arm and move it to the other side, Like this. also when punching, the stick should take a step forward, this is teh time to start it.

    step 9)

ok now extend the arm all the way outwards. Now your ganna wanna complete the step. also, the arm behind the stick should go out a little ways to make it look better.

    step 10-finish)

Now you just wanna finish the step.

    Finished copy)

OK, this is how it should look when your done.

w00t w00t!!!! punch is done!!!! so is part 1!!!!!!!!!!

    PART 2: SECTION 1: FLASHING

OK, flashing is a technique that I happen to use ALOT. It is really good for if you want something to happen real fast, but it is too hard to animate it that way, So you just flash. It's kinda a lazy thing. Or sometimes it's just a neat effect that shows a bullet or a blast, or something of that sort. OK, let's start.

    Step 1)

Like always, get your stick out.

step 2) add 2 zero's behind the 100, and click next frame twice.

    Finished copy)

I just made a little animation using this technique, so you know how to use it.

    WOO HOO!!!!! WE'RE DONE!!!!!!!!!!

this is my first tut. so to be hate'n on meh, and I will prolly post more later, if this doesnt get deleted.....

that was a really good tut for a first, the running bit helped me alot. maybe on your punch you could add a bit more oomph, by maybe making him lean back before punching or making him punch straight. but other than that great job. thanks for contributing.

Thanks to Baha for the uber sig!
