    Laptop to PC

I never really noticed it before, but my Laptop with Vista is a hell of a lot darker than my Computer's monitor with XP. I can't upload pics.

I am a total noob with Vista, is there anyway to increase the brightness?

Well on my Pc's monitor I could obviously just increase the brightness through the buttons on my monitor, but as this is a laptop, I can't. I don't think.

I just mentioned the Vista thing as I figured there could have been an options on Control Panel or something which increased it.

    I don't know.

Usually brightness / volume on laptops are controlled via the keyboard, at least on most of the ones I've seen. I don't think I've ever seen an option on Windows to make the screen brighter...

if it is anything like mine, check the power out put, when mine is on anything other than high output, it is quite a dark screen to safe battery power, so you might wanna look at that.

or check the keys for a brightness key, that is used via a function button, usually something like Fn+F4 or something like that.

    hope this helps mother hubburd

    Try Fn + Up Arrow.

That's how I do it on mine.
