    Speakers on my TV

Alright. The back of my TV has the red and white audio cables. I have 2 speakers hooked up to my receiver which I know work cause they play the radio. Alright I am just wondering what I will need to make these 2 speakers hook up to my TV for playing xbox and watching TV etc.
Alright now basically I looked at the user manual, and it says this for hooking up video equipment:
I need the audio and video cables (which I have). It says from the TV I hook up audio out and video out and then video in. And then with the VCR I hook up audio in+out and video in+out to the receiver. Now the problem with this is that my TV doesn't have a single video out, and I don't really see that it's necessary seeing as I only want the speakers to work with my TV.

All I'm really asking is what's the simplest way to make the audio cables go to the receiver and then project sound out of the speakers with the TV. Any help would be great, and sorry if this seemed confusing.

Well, I'm not really the smartest person around to answer, but what exact kind of speakers are these? Do they have cords? If they have a cord to hook them up to a computer, like a headphone jack sort of thing, you could probably put them into a headphone jack on the tv, if it has one. Otherwise, for something else, try just going to best buy and looking/asking someone for an adapter, they have all sorts of those things now a days.

Somebody else will probably be along soon to help you though, hopefully.

They are tall speakers that hook up to my receiver (wired) and have a red and black side. Kind of hard to explain, but they are like big living room speakers.

If the TV has audio out ports, you can get a cable to go from the TV to the receiver. I don't remember what you'd call that cable but it's the same on both ends so it can connect the two.
    Looks like this:

If there's no audio out on the TV though, you can always just plug the yellow video cable from the xbox into the TV, and put the red and white ones in the receiver instead. Obviously this won't work for watching television, but it'll work for games.

^^ Yeah I know that. I can't do the xbox thing. The yellow video cable and the 2 audio cables are like connected, cant split them far apart. What I did was I took the audio cables and in the back of my TV are the 2 ports for them, so I put the 2 in the TV then the other end in the receiver. I turn on the TV, turn on the receiver and put it to TV and guess what. No sound out of the speakers, but the sound still obviously comes out of my TV.
This really isn't a big deal, if nothing works out, I will just end up forgetting about it until I actually get a new TV.
