    Memory Issue

Every time I try to run a game it tells me theres not enough memory to execute it. The game Im running needs 512mb to run and I have 2x that.

which windows are you using? Vistas uses a whole hell lot of ram, so its possible that your game isnt able to use 512 mb of ram that it needs.
also take in mind, that not all the operations executed by the game are resolved by your processor, Your GPU also takes a big part when you are running a video game, so maybe your gpu isnt good enough to handle the game graphics.

There is just another thing that could be the cause: that your system isnt detecting all the ram slots. You could check in my computer properties just to make sure.

If none of that works, try increasing virtual memory. It takes actual hard drive space and uses it like ram.

Control panel > Performance > Visual effects > Advanced
    I think.
(Took me about 5 minutes to find it in vista...so good luck)

If it's not recognizing the ram, try first unplugging them, and check if they're compatible. If they are, make sure there's no dust, and reinsert them.
