    Best way to change Desktop?

I've seen all these different programs online, like rocketdock and stardock, but are there any others (that are free?)

Change desktop to do what exactly?

    Just a dock?

I recommend Objectdock. They have a free version.

    If you're using Windows XP and you're updated to SP3, http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/OS- ... cher.shtml

Install and find some themes on deviantart and the such.

There is an extremely large amount of things you can do to enhance your desktop. There are programs like Rainmeter for computer monitoring and weather and things like that. To add icons to your desktop in a sexy way, use ObjectDock or RocketDock. (I use RocketDock).

There are dock skins, icons, visual styles, and much more desktop related things at deviantArt.com

Just look around and you'll find a lot.

Re: Best way to change Desktop?

What do you want to change, exactly? Your wallpaper, a dock?

If you want to get a dock, you should try some of the following Windows Vista dock programs [All free downloads].

    http://www.RocketDock.com/
    http://www.stardock.com/products/objectdock/

I personally use RocketDock, and it works pretty well. I have never used ObjectDock, but I know a few people like Skype use it and say its really good, so you could try both and see which one you like better.

If you weren't looking to get a dock, I can help with most other things, so just tell me if you need it.

    Objectdock is vastly superior.

    Especially the paid version.
