Can new Graphics cards be installed onto a laptop?

Well, I have a satellite l305d-s5895 with a Radeon x1200, and it says that's it's the motherboard. I want to replace the graphics card with an NVIDIA 9800 GTX. Would that be possible?

I doubt it, unless it already comes with an Nvidia card, they are usually built-in to the motherboard, so they are irreplacable.
    Sorry dude.

Most laptop gfx cards are onboard. Which means no, you cannot change it.

Everyone pretty much covered it but unless it's a newer laptop you most likely won't be able to upgrade the graphics card. In some newer laptops it's actually possible to replace graphics cards.
