    NEW COMPUTER... got fucking owned

So last night I downloaded an update for my new vista rig, and now I'm staring at a boot screen for 6 hours. Anybody else get this, or have an idea what might be the problem?

And before you come to silly assumptions, I restarted, 17 times.

Boot in safe mode and system restore to before the update. The update should have made a save point for you so.

Unless of course it's freezing before you can choose to start safe mode.

This, I'm considering wiping it, no biggie though I don't have much stuff on it anyway, most of it's already backed up to my external. I just want to know whether I was virus'd or someone else is experiencing hard times from this new update.

Oh, well I haven't even got a prompt for an update. Are you using 64bit?

I did notice from a screen shot you posted that you were using AVG as virus protection.

    That's probably why

Re: NEW COMPUTER... got FIXED (lock)

I figured it out, I forced the bios using ebcd, then I figured out that it was driver problems with my external (wtf vista)

    So yeah, fixed.
