    prophpbb help

Hey, I was making a forum with prophpbb and I was making a spam pit, but then I realized that I didn't know how to make the forum not raise your post count. Can someone please help/tell me?

*I've made another topic asking for prophpbb help, so, to prevent more topics, could you keep this unlocked, because I will probably have more questions*

Edit the permissions so that posts don't contribute to post count....

Where is that option? Is it the "Increment post count"? If not, then what does that option mean?

It's increment post count. Set it to "Never".

    Re: prophpbb help

K, thanks, and what is the difference between the "No" and "Never" option?

Another question: If the "Increment post counter" is set to "Yes", what happens? Same question goes for if it is set to "No"

    Re: prophpbb help

If increment post counter is set to yes, then posts for that section +1 to the posters post count. Whereas with no / never, they don't.

The only way I can describe the difference between no and never, is through forum viewing permissions. If you set the permission "can view forum" to "no", if a member is linked to the forum, they can still view it. If it's set to "never", they can't.

Or at least that's how it worked for me on my forum.

How do I make a global announcement?

Create a thread and scroll down, there's an option to make it global.

    Re: prophpbb help

Somehow I made the permissions to that normal users can't post without a mod approving their post. How do I fix this so people can post without needing to be approved?

    Re: prophpbb help

Edit the permissions for regular members in all forums and change "can post without approval" to "yes".
