    About Nokia's WLAN ability

    So, I bought a new mobile by Nokia, xpressmusic 5530. It supports this funny thing called WLAN, which is supposed to give you a (free?) passage to internet if there is a wireless connection around you, which is shared.

    So what I am asking is, that is this really free?
    Like, if I just stop at a random house and see that theres a shared wireless connection, I can use it for free? Without any charges?

    WLAN = Wireless Internet.

    If you know the passcode, yes you can use it for free. And certain places have a free network you're allowed to use.

    Yeah, but there's not a password always?

    You can lock it now, problem solved ;P

    If you use someone else's internet, yeah that's illegal. It's stealing.
