    Photoshop Help

This has been bugging me for AGES. My default colours on Photoshop (i.e. the colours that come up when I hit "d") are not white and black. They are this creamy, yellow colour and black. However, when I save an image, the creamy, yellow colour comes out as white. In the end, I get the desired result, but I'd really rather the default colours would come up as WHITE and black, in Photoshop. Screenshot:

If you need more screenshots, let me know.

Try pressing CTRL + Y. If that doesn't fix it, try reinstalling PS. I got that problem when I installed drivers for my monitor, but it didn't fix by saving. I don't see how it can be FFFFFF and not be white.

    Re: Photoshop Help

I remember I had the same problem once. I think I fixed it with messing around with the Color Settings (Edit > Color settings).
I don't remember how I fixed it though.
    Have you checked google yet?

    EDIT:

    Reset Preferences
"A lot of Photoshop problems can be fixed by dumping the preferences file: While launching Photoshop, Hold down Alt+Ctrl+shift on the PC or Cmd+Option+Shift on the mac. When asked to reset the preferences say yes.
Before you do this, save your custom Patterns, actions, styles, brushes, gradients, shapes and color pallettes. These will also be reset. Tip: You can create an action to do this, so you have a one click backup! (Don't forget to save the backup action first)"

    Re: Photoshop Help

I had the exact same problem once. Go to edit, color settings. Then apply the following settings:

If that doesn't work, fuck around with the settings field, there's only 4-5 options there anyway.

Thanks Darren, you're a hero. My settings were already set to what you posted, I just messed around with the settings field, like you told me to. Thanks again
