Yeah. Apparently I've got a bigger problem with my iPod than I realized.

iTunes hasn't been responding or opening for the past few days, and when I plug in
    my iPod,

    Any help would be appreciated.

If you can access the iPod, restore it.

And reinstalling iTunes might be a good idea.

This might not have anything to do with this problem, but this all happened when my friend jailbreaked his iPod, and he said he got it from the wrong site or somthing?
Sorry, I dont have one or know much about them, but he got this same problem (iTunes would not open, problems with battery power, etc), same warning aswell, and I think he said it drainded alot of his battery usage?
But it only happened when he Jailbreaked it or somthing?

    Yeah, sorry..

Well first, reinstall iTunes. Second, did you Jailbreak your iPod? Does your iPod work?

My iPod works just fine (besides the battery problems,) and its not jailbroken either.

If I reinstall iTunes, will I lose all my songs?
I really don't want to have get 1,800 songs back onto a new itunes.

This or if they are store bought, you'll have them in your library.

    Re: iTunes Help!

Where else could they be on my computer, besides iTunes?

I thought maybe i could just import them back from my iPod, but if that doesn't work (iPod can't connect)
Then I'm screwed. I guess both iTunes, and iPod are broken->

@Faded: only like, 800 are store-bought. Most of them are from CDs.

When you rip them, they should be in a folder in Music or the iTunes folder, can't remember which though.

    Re: iTunes Help!

Ah thanks, I found the folder.

So that won't get deleted when I uninstall/reinstall iTunes?
Just wanna confirm that before I go ahead without full comprehension.

Actually, this folder only has songs I bought, burned by disc, or loaded from a CD.
I'm missing a few albums that I obtained in "other" ways. (non-illegal)
