    Xbox hardrive.

    I accediently dropped a magnet on my xbox D:, and i think it's corrupted it.
    is there anyway to like reset it or fix it? thanks.
    it's a
    60gb HDD.

    EDIT: it's one ring, and it's the E64. I think. :L

    Magnets royally fuck electrical equipment. Just buy a new HDD.

    Indeed they do. but is there anyway to like reset it? because i don't really wanna buy a new one. but if i have to i will. i wanna see if i can fix it without buying a new one first.
    at the moment i'm just using my 265 mb one lmao. it won't last long.

    You can't "reset it". Magnet damage is permanent I believe.

    I thought it just corrupts the files on the hardrive.

    I think you're fucked, but here is the way to reset your Xbox hard drive if you insist on trying it first:

    It doesn't let me go to the dash board.
    so i can't really get hold of it. i still wanna see if there is any help so i don't really wan't people to lock it yet.

    I had the E64 error before, had nothing to do with my hardrive. Not really much you can do as far as getting it back. Just buy a new one.
