    Msn 'Hahaha foto' link virus

Yeah my friend recently got it, whenever I get on msn, I get this 'Hahaha foto ' link virus
and it contains my email, and some of my friends emails..

I didn't click it, but got told it can spread even when posted..
My friends an idiot, so I wouldnt be suprised if he downloaded one, but yeah Im just abit worried (Again)

He thinks Norton is invincible and that Norton would delete it straight away >:/
So yeah on occasion he can be an idiot, but I'm more worried about I could have this Trojan/worm just from him posting it, I ran afew scans (Malwarebytes and AVG) and I didnt find anything..

    Just yeah.

Most of the times it is a bot that logs into your msn when you're offline, so if you're feeling unsecure change your password.

Re: Msn 'Hahaha foto' link virus

I got my only problem with a virus when I clicked on one of these back when I didn't know much about using and using programs safely like msn and the internet itself, but, good old AVG found it and told me and I ran to my dad and he told me I shouldn't have done it and all that but I got rid of it.

There isn't much point to this thread...

It's on AIM too, and password changing doesn't help.
I get lots of those 'bot messages' from people
on my buddy list. It spreads when you click the link
At least that's what I've seen so far.

I don't think you should worry about viruses, but its worth the precaution.

If you click the link you WILL get some kind of malware. Change your password and run a full virus scan.

Well, one good thing, I did not click it.
So is it really worth worrieing about then?

Im running a full system scan in AVG, and ran a full scan with Malwarebytes, should I also consider a system restore

And I was also abit worried about getting on the net, and visting msn again (Re-install?).

    I also changed my password

I got this link sent to me, I clicked the link (how stupid of me <_<) because it said something about facebook so when I opened it, it wanted me to save a file, so I quickly said no, and my computer is fine. So even if you did click it, if you didn't save it you will be fine.

If you already ran a scan and nothing's happening to your computer, what are you worrying about?
