    Editing gifs/pivs in Flash

    Yeah, like, Ill import a pivot-(saved gif form) then go to draw effects over it but when It just disapears, Ive been told its somthing to do with layers, but Im pretty new to Flash and some help would be great!

    Add a new layer. There should be a "+1 layer" button or something, should be on the bottom left side of the panel where the frames are. Now draw on that layer. Voila, works!

    You'll notice that all the effects you've added up to now have actually been saved, only the image is above them. If you draw on an image in the same layer as it, then delete the image, you'll see what you've drawn.
