I think my graphics card is almost dead

I recently installed new drivers for my 8800 GT. And then this happened:

Same quality during startup, shutdown, porn, etc.

I did a system restore, but it's still like that.

Er, sorry but that honestly looks like a completely broken GFX card. Though you say it happened after installing new drivers, so all I can suggest is downloading previous drivers.

If your using Windows 7, you can remove your drivers, restart your computer and windows will use some automatically, instead of finding working drivers.

I re-installed my old drivers, and that didn't work. Then I deleted them, it detected it, installed drivers, etc. But it still won't work.

Should I just replace the thing?

Seems like a broken card, you're in a pretty good time to replace it actually, an ati 5850, or 5770 is capable of running directx11 and you can get them for good prices...

There's still the rare case where your motherboard has a a faulty pci-e slot, but that happens rarely, so I would try hooking up the card again, or hooking up a shitty one. To see if it works.

I doubt it's a card problem if it happened after installing drivers. Try installing the most up to date ones you can, things like this normally occur if you interrupt the install, if it goes wrong, or if you install the wrong ones.

Try doing it in safe mode too.

What Skype said. However if new drivers did it. I would try removing your current ones and trying the version you had before that to see if the problem persists. If it still does then that may be a card problem. HOWEVER if it's fixed, then just stay with those until they release a fixed version.
