    How do I do this?

I want to know how to record what is going on on my computer. what I want to do is take videos of me making an animation, to use as like a tutorial for my friend and recording stuff on rct3. I know you need some program, but does anybody know of some free one?

Yup. Darkdemon read my mind. But what I do is use a capture card, it can record tv and computer monitors easily. But the problem is it costs, alot.

Meh, not really... Unless you buy a really good one.
If you're just going to use it for recording your screen and the like, the cheaper the better. You can get a decent one on EBay for around $20 USD.

If you don't want a capture card, just use the free trial of captivate like DD said, 30 days should give you plenty of time to make a few tutorials ^_^

TM's totally right, but just so you don't waste any time, make sure the tutorials are ready and planned out so you don't have to screw around. I'm looking forward to these, it's a new approach on tutorials, that's for sure.

I bought mine for $120 ^^. Trust me, I needed a good one and a had alot of money to spare (I'm a saver, not a spender). But you could buy a decent one like you said on Ebay.

For now, just use the trial. It should work.
