    YouTube partnership advice.

    Hi guys.

    Recently, I uploaded this video:[spoiler:2j6z11u8][youtube:2j6z11u8]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yUwsXDRPfWQ[/youtube:2j6z11u8][/spoiler:2j6z11u8]
The other day YouTube sent me an email to do with revenue sharing, partnerships etc.

I filled in all the forms, and a night ago I got an email saying they need more information to be able to accept the video to revenue sharing. If you watch the video, you'll notice the song playing in the background. It's by Sub Focus, called Rock it. I don't have the rights to it or permission to use it.

When they asked me if I used any music, and if so to explain the rights I have to it, I said there is no music and left it at that. This new email says they need more information.

What do I do? I don't own the song, so I don't think just saying the song title and artist will be a good way to go. I'd really like to get something going here, and all I must do is choose my words correctly.

Any advice? Go for it, and just tell them? Beg them? Leave it? Lie?

Just offer to re-upload the song with different music or use audio swap.

I don't think they have a system that lets you change the audio and to keep the views, likes etc. I guess it could change the view people would have on the video or something.

As for audioswap, I would like to keep the sound effects.

This all depends on if I'm talking with a computer or a person.

I guess it boils down to do you want to get paid or not. Just use audio swap.

I'm pretty sure you can reupload it while keeping it considered to be the same video. At least, it was possible the last time I checked.

I can't tell if you're taking the piss by saying it's serious or if you're being serious yourself.

I just at Audioswap options for the video and it says they're unavailable for this video. They are for all of my others.

    Typical.

    This works

Copyright Disclaimer Under Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made
for "fair use" for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching,
scholarship, and research. Fair use is a use permitted by copyright statute that
might otherwise be infringing. Non-profit, educational or personal use tips the balance
    in favor of fair use.

Not too sure about that, but thanks.

One thing I'm wondering is, if they hadn't put forward this revenue sharing thing, they wouldn't have had a problem with the audio. Why should it matter now and not before?
