    Actionscript Tutorials

I'm working with a friend to try to learn some standard stuff in actionscript, but we're having a rough time finding any decent tutorials. We're aware of all of the sites like actionscript.org but it's not really what we're looking for- we want a resource that discusses all of the basic actionscript functions and is easy to follow for someone with no experience. Most of the tutorials we've looked up so far have been for very specific things, whereas we want something more general. We're looking to learn actionscript 3.0 by the way. Any suggestions would be awesome.

    Re: Actionscript Tutorials

My absolute favorite series for beginning AS3
    http://gamedev.michaeljameswilliams.com ... utorial-1/

After going through those I suggest skimming through this series:
    http://active.tutsplus.com/tutorials/ac ... variables/
It goes into more detail on the backend and has some useful tips but I don't find it a very practical starting point. Which is why I suggest mjw's series first.

The active tuts site itself has a number of useful tutorials and tips.

Currently AS3 is my main language so I'm always available for help on somethings.
