Define broken. Has the key come off or does it not work at all?

Use a key rebinder and map it to a seldom used key; alternatively set up a shortcut if you don't want to sacrifice an existing key.

well, my keyboard stops working from time to time. I just whack on the back a couple of times and it works again. Highly possible it won't work in your case, but it's always worth a try XD

Could be just dirty? What I used to do is get a knife and pry off all my keys off of my keyboard and shake the dust and crap out of it, used to help (although I'm not entirely sure this is good for the keys and the keyboard)

Right, well I'd start with what Skype and everyone said. If not then it means you might need to fork out some money for a new keyboard and connect it to the laptop with the usb
