    Insert Key

Hiya Dark Demon! I need your help with something.
On my keyboard, my Insert key is located on the numpad 0, like this here: [tn=500:34ws8080]http://www.wpclipart.com/computer/keyboard_keys/number_pad/computer_key_0_Ins.png[/tn:34ws8080]
So I've tried everything. Holding the FN key doesn't work, whether num lock is on or off. I tried every combination of control, shift, alt and FN and still nothing.
The reason? In Day Z I need to press that to find out my statistics, kind of important in my eyes, as most of my characters are doing fairly well on their respective servers.

So the problem is, the button just doesn't seem to go along with the FN key or anything, it acts like only 0 has been pressed.

Oh, and I've checked everywhere on google and nothing has come up, even with my Alienware type (m17x)

Thank you kindly for your help.

    Re: Insert Key

    which keyboard is it?
Is there not any other insert key on the keyboard?
Is this keyboard new? I've had keyboards where one key completely stops functioning.

It's the keyboard which came with the laptop and no there is no other insert key.
Keyboard is as old as the laptop. As I stated, the key is not broken because 0 still works.

    hmm, ok.

Have you only tried using the insert key on the game, or have you tried it on any other applications?

Only in game, I haven't had to use it in any other applications, nor do I know of any that actually need it to be used.

It's supposed to work using the Fn or Numlock key but I don't think DayZ recognizes it. Is there any way for you to remap it to a different key?

There are also programs that can remap buttons on your keyboard, but if nothing else works and you absolutely need this function then I would just use a USB keyboard for now.

if you try it in notepad, and tell me if something changes, have numlock off btw.
it's to see if it's the key or application use.

    Re: Insert Key

notepad does nothing, but it's not meant to. It's not DayZ because it's meant to do it, my friends was fine.
I have tried remapping it in the options but didn't work.
