    Phone interferes with Wi-Fi

I'm in Japan right now and I often have my phone interfering with the Wi-Fi of the house. I use my phone, browse the internet and suddenly it just stops working. I've been told this didn't happen before.
The whole Wi-Fi gets disabled, not just for me and it usually takes a few hours to work again, unless you switch it on and off. My phone is a western model, by the way.

Is there any solution to keep this from happening? It's very tiresome to have to go downstairs in order to switch the Wi-Fi on and off at 2AM.

Anything that emits some kind of frequency might interfere with the wi-fi.

It's probably because the phone is in the same frequency as the wifi,so the better solution is to turn the cellphone off when you are using the wifi

The thing is, I use the Wi-Fi on my phone, which makes that a rather poor solution.
