    Stick shops

    So, I've noticed (almost) all stick shops that have been opened, close again after about 2-10 days. The stickmakers get overloaded with jobs and tasks, and they simply can't keep up with the amount of sticks they have to make. I just saw Tek's shop close. And I hate to see that happen.

    So I got this idea (after reading Leo's collab master list) to make this one, huge stick shop. It basically works like the mentor/student assignment thread: The stick makers fill out a form, describing what type of sticks they make (base sticks, weapons, bg's, etc., etc.), along with some examples of their work (between url brackets, for people with slow internet?), and, in big, clear letters, whether or not they're busy. This way, sticks can be made by more than 1 or 2 people, so more people can be 'served' at a time. Probably it would be best if this is posted by a mod or admin, and stickied.

    Your opinion, do it or not?

    Yeah, I think that it would work out, exept that the stick makers would have to be on more often

    *My thread is broken and locked right now (due to others bumping and filepact being shut down), so don't bother clicking the link.

    Yeah, sounds like a good idea, I guess.

    Personally, I've seen lots of people have sticks made for them however they never use them. If it works out sure but I wouldn't count on it.

    @ BarfsOnYou:
    But if the idea works out, and enough stickmakers have joined, then there should always be (At least) one online.

    @Yadda:
    Yes, but also, many requests have not been made. And you shouldn't matter whether or not the stick is being used. It's all in the fun of making one. Right?

    Well in my opinion I still would appreciate it more if I gave a christmas present to a friend of mine and he used it a lot instead of returning it for store credit, catch my drift?

    No.

    In the long long ago, there was an official stick shop. We had about half as many members as we do now, and the people making them were still pages behind.

    I tried the whole stick shop thing, it really didn't work. Every now and again one will pop up and it will be amazingly popular for a week or two. After a while it dies down and then another one pops up a few weeks later.

    It's a cycle. But making one official stick shop wouldn't work because people would get bored with it pretty quick.
