I like it, but the BG isn't so good. Nice job!

    *cracks knuckles*

Yet another example of mediocre web design. The colour scheme is rather bland. I had this same problem in a design I did awhile ago. The entire thing was gray. Gray can be a good colour, but you don't want to use it too often. If you just mix in the gray with say a strictly white website along with some colourful pictures it can look nice. If you have trouble picking good colour schemes, there are several sites that have lists of common colour schemes. I always try to mix two colours that are completely different. Like maybe orange and turquoise.

As for the navigation, the text size annoys me. 18px is something I might use for a header tag. A common mistake people make is they treat the navigation links as a header. In reality they are really just links. They already stand out just from the fact that they are placed on a black bar above everything else. There is no need to further emphasize their importance. I find that a font size of 14 or 15 px will normally look good in most webdesigns. Obviously it depends on the design. But it's also more practical to have the links be a smaller size. That way, people can fit more links in the navigation.

The background just ruins everything left to be ruined. It says something like "This is an elegant web design", but it's not. The pattern might have looked nice if used differently in a different design, but it doesn't match anything in this particular design.

The actual body of the content leaves a lot to be desired. Every section (header, navigation, body, footer) are just right on top of each, spanning the entire height of the page. Find some way to make them appear more separate, and maybe add a margin so it isn't right up against the page.

I also noticed the code is disgusting, but I'll just criticize the design for now.

That background design is so over-used and gay. Think up something else for the love of a certain religious figure.

So if he goes and rips off another sites crappy design, it'll make his crappy design better?
