    First(ish) Template

Ive messed around with a few stuff so this is not really my first template, but definitely my first complete one. This is just something I do for fun. I like it.

    Classes:
grayG: Adds gray BG and makes the text black.

redG: Adds red BG and makes text black.

    To Do List:
    Finish adding tags
Figure out why tables drop to the bottom of the template.
Figure out why H1 tags break borders
    [s:1gaokwwm]Add 'H' tags to CSS[/s:1gaokwwm]
    [s:1gaokwwm]Edit: Add the 'n' to nothing =O[/s:1gaokwwm]

    Re: First(ish) Template

For a start you might want to set it to a smaller width rather than 100%, it looks really ugly on wider screens.

It's alright for one of your first, it's very simple.

Better than a lot of the crap that comes through here...
Add a width to your holder div (something like 960px)

Make sure you style things like H tags, unordered and ordered lists (li, ul, ol), images, ect...
Also, pop a reset into the css.

Made the CSS a bit cleaner, add the css reset and width properties to holder.(Thanks VD)
Added a few new tags,'h' tags, blockquote, sup and sub text. Changed link properties a bit.

That's actually looking quite nice imo. I love the effect for the blockquote, with the "quotequotequotequote" background. You have some nice ideas

The links are hard to read because of the bright background where they happen to be placed, though.

    Re: First(ish) Template

Yea, I was thinking about changing it to blue but I didn't want it to be like the other blue crap I already have, I will probably just change the purple around a bit to fit in everywhere better instead of just on the black.
The quote thing was inspired by an Episode of Fairly OddParents where the TV was just saying "BLOCK" over and over.

    Update:
Changed link colors, modified BG a little.

For a first attempt, it's pretty good.

    Thanks

I spent like 3-4hrs getting the banner and BG 'just right' working with space is a bit frustrating.
