    DW help please

    I made a site in notepad and previewed it in FF. It looks fine, but I just got Dreamweaver CS4 and I want to add more stuff using DW. In DW's design mode, it looks messed up, but in live mode it looks okay. What's the problem here?

    1. Don't use preview mode.

    2. It probably means your website wont display properly in IE, DW's preview mode is similar to IE.

    3. Use PHPdesigner or Notepad ++ or something.

    Dreamweaver hates notepad and it hates you.

    I kid, basically dreamweaver is a more simplified take as an editor. The way you organize your page will look like total shit in the editor most of the time, especially when you write the page in text-based IDE.

    Option: use notepad++ if you want a more useful text-based editor and use dreamweaver for... anything simple. Or nothing.

    Damn, DW should be able to do this if it costs so much.

    Thx Yadda, I'll try notepad++.

    No, your coding is probably wrong.

    And PHPDesigner costs around $20-$30.

    Really? thx, i'll buy that when I get the money.

    Yeah, I'm a little out-dated with the HTML I learned. I learned 4.0 or something and that is how I code. I just got the hang of CSS after watching your tutorial

    Yeah, after I completely understand CSS, I'll start looking at XHTML, and thx.
