Starting with CSS, HTML and (or) PHP

Pretty much doing my first attempt of a website, but I need some help though. How do I easily learn to do these concepts I mentioned upon the title of this topic?

Start with (X)HTML. I'd go for http://w3schools.com combined with googling and you'll get there. Then move onto CSS, it'll intergrate nicely. PHP is quite advanced to be starting out with, and it all ties in with HTML.

Read through every page on HTML and CSS on the w3 schools website. Then practice. There's no point learning PHP if you can't already use HTML and CSS. Feel free to add me on msn at Jon@epyks.net and ask for help.

Thanks Niall & Skype, it's much appreciated. When I start practicing, what kind of program can I do it among? for example: Notepad++?

I use notepad++, It's the only thing I use for coding. Some people use dreamweaver which has a lot of functions and properties built in, so dreamweaver may be easier for you to use starting off. Although, dreamweaver you do have to pay for. Though I'm sure there will be a trail version around somewhere.

I have a bought code for PHPDesigner, which is a great program. It's an unlimited license so you're welcome to have a copy. It's basically notepad++ but with more and imo, better features.

Thanks for the information Skype, I'll get a copy and practice. As well Veng, useful solution. Please don't lock this topic, I might need some help towards the aftermath. If not; I'll message a feedback to the staff.

You can also get Aptana Studio.
It's free, and my bro recommended it to me istead of Dreamweaver. Which is very good.

    Minor Help Problem:
Whenever I would like to Run my test script with HTML(for example), what application should I use to open the file I imported?

-EDIT: Also, thanks .Glenn, I'll try using that too.

Well, if you get aptana you can choose to have a preview on your side. It only works if it's a HTML document though.

But if you're not planning to get aptana, you can always test it out in various internet browsers by just refreshing the page when you have to.
